Brooklyn A seeks a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. Reporting to the CFO, they will be responsible for posting and processing journal entries, accounts payable are accurately processed and reconciled in the general ledger in accordance with established policies and procedures and creating balance sheets income statement and other financial statement. As an integral part of the accounting and finance team, they will provide support with monthly, quarterly, annual closing and budgeting process.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting, finance, business or other related field preferred; and a minimum of 2 years related work experience, non-profit accounting/finance experience is a plus.
